In need of something that can handle the added power from your 70cc set up? Looking for strong, consistent acceleration? The Athena Speed Variator is your answer. An upgraded variator is designed to handle the added power from a cylinder kit and expansion exhaust. The Athena variator uses larger roller weights (16x13) to handle added power. The weight of the included rollers is 7.6 grams,

The Athena Variator also features a face angle that provides a drive ratio meant for higher rpm's and horsepower. The rear drive pulley spring is firmer, allowing you to maintain more power under higher loads, such as hills. The firmer spring also helps prevent belt slippage. Looking at a stock variator after about 1,200 miles, you will see the surface has ripples. These ripples can make the scooter feel as if it is “shifting”, and cause excessive belt wear.

Upgrading to a higher quality variator will eliminate the excessive belt wear under higher horsepower.

The Athena Speed Variator will transmit power to your wheel and do it consistently! Athena is a great company in Italy making products more affordable with the same quality. When it comes time to replace your variator, do a one-time upgrade for only a little more than the OEM part's price.

This kit comes complete with rollers, torque driver spring, and new Athena Speed Variator unit.

Check out our easy to follow installation instructions for guidance when replacing your stock variator.
