Bling in Back Review by klattu
Value Quality Performance It fit great. The looks are fntastic, and SS never rusts.
Con: the inner fender mounts are way off target. I cut it off and welded in correct location. I know everyone cannot do this, and think you could adapt with a hose clamp, it will never be seen.
Price makes the extra effort worth it.
Other than that , everything bolted right up, and quickly too. (Posted on 3/31/12) -
Really good deal, but you must have skillz Review by SammyCat
Performance Value Quality As far as I know there is absolutely no increase in top end ( I wasn't expecting any), but my Vino 125 takes off much faster, stays at higher RPMs, and gets to 40 mph noticeable quicker. I am very happy with the performance improvements!
This is a great kit, however, it came with no instructons or heads ups as to what to expect. This is not for beginners and requires tools most people do not have. You can do this with out an impact wrench (youtube), but was easier with one. To get to the clutch you will need a 1 13/16' socket or I think a 45 mm one.... try to find one (good luck). I had to buy it at Sears and it cost $25 (Just a heads up).
Because it came without instruction and there is very little out there about replacement of a VINO 125 Variator, clutch springs, and exhaust. Give yourself a weekend. Oh yeah, the yamaha philipps screws are crap and the heads strip really easy. (Posted on 11/21/11)
