Question vento oil reservoir leak

I noticed shortly after I purchased my zip r3i that it was leaking oil from the reservoir at the place where the hose is connected to it. Has anyone else had this problem. I was thinking about trying to put a tighter clamp on it or something. Does anyone have any good tricks for sealing these types of leaks?

here are a few pics; you can see the oil leaking out onto the cooling fan cover:

Things like this are pretty comon. I found this same thing on my buddies MZ Mosqito. you can either Zip tie it, or better yet, use a worm gear clamp (screw type) this will solve your problem. you might want to cut back on the hose a bit also, farther back will be LESS streched out, and give you a tighter fit even befor the clap goes on.

If it is not leaking from the hose, then your tank is split/cracked. This happens from time to time. The best home fix is to remove and empty tank, and use a soldering iron to melt the plastic back together.

that's what I'm gonna do... a reserve tank... heck that's about 20miles or more per fill up... why not...

Just need to make sure it's vented... I think the cap isn't so we'd have to make a tiny tiny hole in the cap or change to one that is vented...
