Default What size jet with stock carb and 70cc kit

Hey I have an 03 Zip R3 I'm planning on getting a 70cc kit soon and I'm not sure what jet sizes to get? I'm keeping the stock carb and just going to upjet. The stock jet is 70 and I'm currently running a 72.5 with the stage 1. What sizes do you guys run with the stock carb?

Someone has to run the stock carb with a 70cc kit??? Well I'm going to put in an 80 main and raise the needle one notch. Hopefully that will be good enough to do plug chops...

I'd start with the 80, but I'd imagine somewhere between 75-78 would be right. Better to start too rich than too lean.

Also have a few new plugs on hand so you can inspect them(plug chop) to see if you are running too rich or lean after the install.

so you have the 80 now????
i run a 45 idle and a 75 main in a stock carb with a 70 kit.
add your pipe and maybe a 77.5 would be close.
oh yeah where you live has to be factored in too,i'm at sea level
like you but up north by the canadian border on the west coast.
so the air is colder (65-70F) but the humidity may be close to what you have
85-95%+ most of the time..
but its always smart to do a chop ..

I put the 77.5 main in with the needle clip in the middle. The reason it wasn't running right was the squish was way off at 1.85mm. If I ran only the paper base gasket I got it to 1.1mm and it runs alot better...well its drivable now. The instructions say to run .7mm squish which to get that I'd have to run no gaskets. Still seems to hestitate for a few seconds then jumps off the line and the power flattens out as I go faster up to about 30mph then not much top end barely any pull. I'm really not impressed at all. Maybe its the carb still not in tune? Not sure what else to do. My setup is below.

03 Vento Zip R3 (1500 miles)
70cc stage 6 sprt pro
tecnigas next R pipe
malossi variator w/ yellow clutch springs
4 gram rollers
