View Full Version : Cold weather starting tips

Hey guys and gals, I am havin a ruff time startin my scoot in cold temps. I have the full stage 2 kit execpt for the aftermarket air filter, but i do have my air box modified. I am in minnesota and everyone elses stock scoot starts fine, but mine is havin trouble. Any tips would help

Ditch the choke, and add a primer!

other than that, kick it so you dont ruin your battery..

If you cover up the airbox hole, or if you have the performance airbox squeeze it shut and it should start up real quick. Thats basicaly how choke works. It reduces the amount of air coming into the engine so it starts up when the engine is cold.

Don't Have Any problems Starting The R4i Scooter,Unless i was living in Jereds Shoes where it Real Cold with Snow then i might have a little problem but the Remote key Starter won't Start when it's Real Cold unless i hold it Down for 4 or More Seconds..or Turn the Throttle a bit..
