A recent discussion gave me the idea to post a friendly poll to find out how many of ya out there have ever ordered fro mt he online store. This does not log who voted, we just want to see what the rate of members to shoppers are to gauge the ratio. But feel free to comment on the poll as to why or why not you have or have not ordered.

I voted no for the simple fact that I have never ordered anything for my scooter HOWEVER that is about to change and I will be ordering some parts from Erich SOON.

I've bought all of my stuff at The Scooter Lounge. Provoscooter also doesn't sell much for the Stella yet.

I voted no, becuase provo at this time is not carring alot parts that are up to my standerd, Hope soon you all will get More Malossi, Polini, metra kit parts.
I also think it would give you alot of bussies if you where to sell honda elite S,SR,LX parts, I know a whole lot of people that are wanting to buy elite parts form a site in the US, I as well would order parts.

How about a 3rd option "planning to"--I haven't bought from them yet --but am planning to buy the Japanese style lights and buddy seat--once I pay off my scooter in January.

I did not add maybe deliberately because people who did not would click maybe and squeegee the results off.

If anything it would be the other way around. But I'm not sure what the relationship between at the moment between Dave and Erich is. There was some unpleasantness a while back.

I had the impression they were all in the same bed- one grew out of the other and has changed names or added names but were all the same thing.
Thanks for clearing that up.

Mark my reply is in mod que. All three are separate as stated in that thread, but I made it simplified for the purpose of the general membership without making it overly wordy. This is how I always word it.
TSL Racing: The Parts
The Scooter Lounge: Brick and mortal store
Provoscooter.com: The online store
Provoscooter.com | Forums: That's us
If you go to the Scooter Lounge's website (as of yesterday) it routes you to Provoscooter.com for online parts sales. Also for ordering parts on the phone it routes you back to Provoscooter.com and Erich's number. But again as I said in the que post, there are some other factors added in to make things overly confusing so it's best not to post them in here.

Just placed my next order with Provo tonight... another few hundred bucks later and I have more parts on the way...
I ordered the Malossi Wing Clutch Bell and the Over Range Tranny Kit...
So... Don't know when exactly the over range will be in stock as I know that Erich will be ordering it but I will be able to let you guys know about the install as soon as I get it from him...
I'll be doing a how to on it so everyone has the knowledge from the install after I'm finished with it...
BTW: If you see parts for a price lower than what erich sells the part for... And since this forum is ran off of sales from www.provoscooter.com sales... Shoot Erich an email and send him the link to where you found the price, he might be able to assit you with matching or beating the price. So, you get the part for the lowest price, Erich gets the sale and the forum continues to rock on...
Once again, I want to thank erich for the awesome customer service I once again recieved from him... I highly recommend buying parts through him...
PROVO ROCKS!

He matched some prices for me as well...
VERY competitive prices from the get go but when some thing is a bit more than another place he was willing to make a few adjustments to provide customer service. I am (hopefully..) about to order my kit (once I make sure I am not missing some thing) and he has been great!

Hi everyone :)
Well... I'm officially a Provoscooter customer now. I just ordered the Vino Stage One kit with the Kevlar belt and the hills option. I've been in email discourse with Erich on the Over Range tranny and plan on upgrading in the future, once I know that the top end increase justifies the expense. At $349 plus possibly an additional $99 for an upgear if one source was correct in saying the O/R only extends the lower range, I'll want more than 4 or 5 MPH over what I'm hoping to get from my Stage One. (especially since my Yamaha mech gets $68/hr for the work!)
My kit and tires should be here in a few days. I'll let you know how it all turns out!

I just ordered the original Japanese style turn signals from Provo for my Vino. They should arrive this week--hoping to get some warmer weather so I can install them.
Anyone want to write a "How To" with some pix on this? I would appreciate it very much!!!!:D

That's King Vino's thing...
Don't know if he did a write up on it or not in the old forums but hope he'll see this and shead some light on the info...
If I remember correctly they are pretty simple except the wires are difficult to do cause the wires are shorter or something like that... but not 100% on it...

I've ordered everything from provoscooters except a 30+% torque spring that erich doesn't sell. The reason I'm a returning customer is the great service and selection! My first purchase was a black buddy seat, after that I think I've dumped another $500 into this shop... with no regrets.

I ordered from provo a little over a month ago and I was very satisfied. I got two stage two kits, to clutch bells, two cf reeds. two kevlar belts, two delta clutches all for me and my wifes 05 zumas I plan on buying an over range kit for mine and maybe the up gear kit for both of ours I just dont want to rob any power becuase I want it to be able to do wheelies so I may just do the upgear kit on hers but all in all I am very satisfied and look forward to doing more business with Erich.

$500 that's it... wow... now I do know I'd crazy... I've almost the original price of the scooter in parts... LOL... that's why mine is BAD....

Haha, yup $500 is pretty big for a starving student. But then again Jered, I think your zuma has maybe 5% stock parts left on it  ! But it's all good, the scoot rips... or at least will rip once the snow melts :) !

Erich doesn't just put his phone number out there because then he would always have somebody calling him. I'm pretty sure that if you email him that you can get him to give you his number.

FocusMike-
I don't think the buddy seat made for the Vino 50 is going to fit on your 125--the rear racks are different, but I'd check with some other 125 owners first.
you might want to check with some TN'G Milano owners, too since the bikes are pretty similar.

01-26-2005, 09:56 PM
how about that lil seat thing thats like at a 90 degree angle, kinda like a chair mod for the back passenger to sit up against. will that fit the scooter? man this sucks im glad i didnt buy the 50cc but now if you think about it. with all the accesories and performance parts you can have a better scooter than mine. :(
i wish they would specify if they come for 50cc ONLY or 125cc ONLY or "WILL FIT ALL VINO'S" label on the product. i need to get ahold of the erich guy. im so noobish with the whole scooting scene....

Honestly I have yet to put them back together(paint job)
I did plug them all in and they work though.
It's a pretty simple process, you just need a little time.
I'll check in every couple days if you want to send me questions through a PM or we could leave the conversation on here for others to imput.

i just recently bought a set of varry and it was ok the only thing that i dint like w/ the transaction is i ordered the varry thinking im getting a technomoto but i got a different brand instead (athena) i just wished they had let me know first bfore sending it out (not saying that athena brand is not good)i emailed erich about it and never heard anything from him, again went back to check the catalog and still its the technomoto varry that is offered.

psyhcoscoot-a number of people have had problems with the Technomoto variator on the Vino. I am sure the Athena is a better variator & that is what Erich may be carrying now as a replacmeent. It would have been nice to communicate that on the web page or in some other way to you. ProvoScooter needs another employee--a one man operation doesn't alwyas cut it.

the real problem is with the zuma... it has a restrictor in the rear pulley but it's a problem with ALL variators. and it shreads the belts not the variator...
the problem with the technomoto... There was HUGE discussions about this thing about 8-12 months ago and you can find info via a search, but basically it's built cheap and falls apart... we had a rash of people who had issues with the thing and seams as everyone who had issues went with a malossi variator and is happy...
I always, ALWAYS say pay the extra $10 upgrade when ordering and get the malossi instead of the technomoto variator... It doesn't show as an option in the vino ordering page, but it's the same part number for the vino and zuma... so make a side note in the remarks of your order for erich to upgrade to the malossi variator... I'm 100% sure you'll be happy with the malossi and 50% sure you'll hate the techno...

Harry--I have no personal experience since my Vino is stock witrh de-restricitons only--but from what I have read here and on the yahoo forums--the technomo variator has a tendency to tear up the drive belts.
I do not know if it is an installation issue or if it is actually the variator itself--but if you do a search here or on the yahoo groups, you will find it mentioned frequently enough to be of concern.

i did notice that the TM variator was rather
ruff/textured compaired to others i have in the
shop. that maybe why its recomended to use a kevlar belt.
thanks for clueing me in i will keep my
eye on the belt.
