That bore they are saying is for a 50cc. But, that bore & stroke is for a bike like yours. (125-150cc)

I thought it was illegal to sell a vehichle with an engine that differs from what the manufacture states....

IE: 125cc instead of 150cc...

That'd torque me off...

Jered, alot of rec vehicles are like this. For instance, my Yamaha GP1200 Waverunner is actually a 112?cc stock. Even after I bored it .50 over, it is still only 1183cc.

So, in summary, EVEN Yamaha is guilty of this!

well what I ment was a drastic amount... but then again most engines are rounded...

You'd just think that with a actual 125cc engine they wouldn't be able to sell it as a 150cc engine as there really is no need for changing the cc's as it's a common number already...

IMO that's lame... and theft...

It's like saying the zuma was a 50cc when it's actually a 19cc... you know... BIG difference... and I'd be pissed if that was the case... I can see from a 47cc saying it's a 50cc...

Or 53cc saying it's a 50cc...

Oh well... it's life huh!?

hhmmm, I do not like it either.

Okay, after a few calculations...... the difference between 125-150 is exactly 20%. This seems like quite a bit, I agree. But, in their defence, they also sell 125's as 50's.....would you complain then??? :D I didn't think so :p

Keeping in mind that 50cc scooters are actually 49cc with scooters. My old Mustang was sold as a 5.0 even though the engine was 302ci making the engine something like 4.92 (need to check my stats to be 100% exact!) It's not illegal for a manufacture to label their engines this way but it is deceptive. Now if a private citizen tried to sell a 125cc motor as a 150 with a 70cc motor in there, I'd be willing to bet that state's attorney's office would be a' calling. I suppose there is legally a double standard between corporations and private citizens. but let's face it Who'd want to buy a FZR 983 when FZR 1000 sounds better. (With the exception of Ducati!) But then again, most makes specs list a 1000cc motors are lists as 994. Ugh, my brain is going to break for giving this too much thought.
