But keep in mind Provoscooter.com | Forums is primary an Asian based scooter discussion forum, though we do have a good base of Euro scooters on here such as Derbi, we do not specialize in vintage scooters, and only offer these forums to those members who already own Minerelli based scooters.

A guy has a Vespa Classic for sale and I know nothing about these scooters and how much they are worth and how much I should pay for one. This one in particular is a 1965, Model VBC, 4- speed. From the pictures it looks like its in great condtion and the owner said he has restored it.

What is a reasonable price for this scooter assuming that it has been properly restored and running properly. He is asking $2400 for it and I will offer $2000 for it.

Not sure what I would be getting into with an old vintage scooter like this? Are these scooters mechanical nightmares, or are they pretty reliable? I appreciate any advice. I have attached some pics of the scooter.
