60,000 miles on a 2004 Zuma
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 2002-2005 Zumas are going up in price... Due to the fact Yamaha stopped making them in 2005...The demand is driving them up...If you had looked at them in late summer almost every one of them on eBay was bring more then it cost new...(new price $1500.00-$2200.00 depending on the year...)
You can still find a good deal on them during this time of year, but the best place to get the biggest savings is look in the states that classify these as MOPEDS...
The kids parents are just looking to get some money back out of the scooter now that the kid is driving a car...DON'T wait to long because the price will start going back up after the 1st of the year...Goodluck on your hunt...
I saw a 2004 red Zuma that was used for Pizza Delivery in a large city and it had over 60,000 miles on it... YES 60k!!! I about ... ***potty m ... myself when I seen that...
The price in the NADA / KBB is based on the average sale prices of the item you are looking up...so if you paid $1500.00 for a used bike and the owner put down that you only paid $500.00 (to save you on taxes)....that makes the average BOOK VALUE price Lower then it really is... so just keep that in mind when you look up the "BOOK VALUE" of something... (Not implying anyone would do that to save a couple dollars on taxes)...

what do you mean?... what does the things I sell have to do with this thread? if you look I have not been on here provo for a long time because of some poeple being smart a** sorry if you didn't mean to be smart about this , but its hard to understand how people are trying to say things when its on the net...
I have just tried to help people on here with different things we have made for the zumas, and I have shared them with this site..
gas caps coming apart,
can/bottle holder,
speed tricks,
info on fixing items,
this is just a couple of things...
so again sorry if your not trying to be smart ,
but if you are thats the reason alot of people stopped coming to this site. just a little FYI thanks John

and there was a 2001 that only went for 980$ another 2002 that went for $1200, a 2002 for 710$, 2004 for $1400, 2003 for $700, 2001 for $800, 2002 for $1100, 2002 for $800
and poor Del couldnt get 1950 for his supper modd'd zuma. Personally i wouldnt buy a modded bike off ebay either.
it all depends on the week and how many buddies you have placing fake bids to get the prices up on legitimate bidders.
Hardly a trend.

Sorry mid, I don't want to presume that anyone cares about my
opinion, but I just can't take you fully seriously. Using your
sales name, or Ebay name, or whatever as your forum name just
smacks of blatant self promotion, and I can't help interpreting
your posts as just sales aids.

"Yes, and don't forget to add value with a dual headlight kit! "
I think it was a playful joke.... not a smart %$^ remark aimed at MID. However, dual headlights kits make a great selling pitch (safer, brighter, not to mention cool):)

Selling pitch yes, but for sale no. Anyone that sells those headlight and taillight kits should be a politician working for George W, or Jim McGreevy. Or for that matter Bill Clinton as an aid(with a stain on thier dress).

Yeah, or just do the mod yourself and the cost is about .30 cents in wiring and a little solder!
It always amazes me what people sometimes pay for the convenience factor!
Not meant to flame anyone,
Just my .02 :)

..laugh.. Well put. I was being sarcastic; Im sure some of those who bought the kits were upset when it didnt have headlights in the box, but only two 3-inch wires :nerd: !!! Great profit ratio I'm sure.

I doubt that is a trend.
Some fools will pay way over what something is worth on ebay becuse they do not do their research-- You cannot judge what things are worth by what they sell for on ebay.
Someone on another fourm I belong to just bought an 2001 Zuma with 230 miles on it for $1200.

So its not a trend, but some lad got really lucky. The deals are out there, but are not going to last long.
Price is based on what a person wants to pay at that moment. Doesn't mean the scoot was worth it, just had a good demand at the time. If 2 were biddding, then only 1 got the scoot. That leaves another sucka out there. If he's watching, pm me, I've got a zuma for you!!
And I also agree, I would NEVER buy a modded scoot. you never know how it ever ran, was tuned, or if its fried.
Mid.....those days are over. The site has changed, lurk awhile, and you'll see. Still some bad feelings out there, but they will go away.

You guys are funny to laugh at with your fighting!
Isn't there something on this site that tells you how to do that modification yourself?
