I bought Japanese Sony DVDR Recorder made in China $800.00 and it fried in 6 months....at least 20% of product made in China turns to Garbage....Retail Management Knows This and is Pissed!!!! Cost of doing bad business..... Like with the poisoned food coming from there...and killing our pets....they just don't care....

I have a 280mm Spanish Mueia Scorpion and it is stamped made in Spain,,,

No such markings on this Cast... Hmmm...lack of pride perhaps... or just none...since it's not made in Spain.....Lot's of Knock-offs and farmed out products floating around...just like CD's etc......

Yeap!! Becuze People Don't want you know that it came from china becuze no
body will buy it.. But that's one of the Sign's that it's made in china and the 2
other countrys, And check your tires as well by taking them off around the end of the tread there Hidden logo's are there for tires ..So you won't See them.

Now what people are doing it Getting into it Becuze the stuff don't cost much
Wholesale, In order to keep from going out of Business trying to Compete with Somebody who deals & Sales China will only put them Out of Business So soon of later everybody Joins them. so all the Cylinders that used to be Made from Spain are Stopped, And now it's China Time So the Cylinders are
now made in China.

By law, imported products must be marked somewhere with the country of origin. Perhaps not on the product itself but somewhere.

In an Ideal "Society" it might be true....but lifes experience, and having dealt in the wholsele busines, and Imports myself, it does not apply....it's a doggy dog world... and if there is a choice to be made between PROFIT and TRUTH. I'm affraid PROFIT will win every time.....

As to Elliots comments.... I TOTALLY AGREE....

When I imported lasers from USA and dealt with computer peripheral suppliers...some were later shut down as immigration fronts and scams....

This China thing has really been blown out of proportion. Machines do all the work and the designs are seldom resident to chinese designers. Even when mans hand gets involved, the thought that the Chinese are any less capable of placing a nut onto a bolt over that of European or Canadian is a clear indication of an individuals shear ignorance, backward thinking, and most of all total lack worldly experience and/or awareness. ISO standards were created for the very reason of keeping quality the same with products manufactured aanywere in the world ( for the most part anyway ).

Products do not last as long as they used to because limits in production cost and retail cost which forced cheaper and compromised designs often designs by some smuck in his garage. China just happens to be the place where these designs are manufactured.

As well China produced a lot of junk in there early days when machines where not involved as much as they are today and designs and materials were poor

As an Engineer & Research / Designer, I recognize design and materials are the two most critical elements of a products longevity and that a good design will last a life time regardless where it is manufactured and assembled

PS feel free to pass or post this accurate commentary to those requiring a bit of enlightening ( a bit to say the least )...GO FIGURE !

But compromise in materials for profit is normal practice...
as far as ISO and other standards....IDEALISM....however not followed ...

Even the last company I worked for which supposedly followed some standards, just did not care...
passing off flawed merchandise as PERFECT.... (i.e. to standard)

Better yet, passing medical instrumentation encapsulation....made somewhere else as their own....

The further up the corporate ladder you go...the nuttier the people..and have no respect for the hard working employees...they are vengefull and disturbed individuals...that consider people like you as Collateral Damage, and a Unwanted Expense(the stuff that cuts into their margin)...Trust me on this...I can write a White Paper, and Quote the things I heard....It would drive you up the wall....

Perhaps the next species that "evolves" on this planet as a result of our self imposed destruction will be wiser....Anthropologists in andother 10-20Million years will look back at us, as we do the Dinosaurs and wonder...What Caused them to go wrong...And why they did not listen to devine teachings...
