hey everybody!
I just recently bought a 2003 vino 50 for $300, i know somebody is jealous somewhere...
but anyways, i've searched and searched the forums to the best of my ability before i asked any questions... but i have a few unanswered questions...
1. where can i find a new spedometer... (the person i bought it from laid it down)
2. i've noticed a few people that have mod's to their "floor board" maybe some sort of rubber?!?!
3. body panels, is it possible to order replacements? the local Yamaha dealer kinda laughed at me when i asked...
4. where do you guys find those inner baskets- they're awesome!
anyways, thanks..
oh yeah!!! if anyone has been trying to find a colored bulb for the vino 50 (hs1 bulb 35/35) i have found an alternative!!! it's from a company called PIAA and it's a bulb cover (full spectrum of colors-- blue, yellow, purple...)

You can buy the rubber mat from a Yammy dealer..order the mat--it comes in black or brown for a Vino Classic years 2002-2004 -it came stock with the Classic Vino 50, but not the plain vanilla Vino 50 of those years. Do an online search for discount yamaha parts & tell your dealer to take a hike, or find a friendlier dealer who is willing to help you. I have seen parts like speedometers on ebay. Inner basket is the basket the goes to a Honda Metropolitan--any Honda powersports dealer will be happy to order one for you. they are around $40. you can alos fine em online, too.

Yeah, I'm sort of jealous, but my '01 ($800) was in good shape.
With that attitude, find a different shop! in my opinion. I have no problems finding parts for mine and they usually keep parts for at least 10 years, especially if they're interchangeable with several years.
Good luck,

update, just got back from the yamaha dealer to get a new air filter...
i asked about the replacement body parts, and to replace just the front is like $238.. so screw it. i'll put that toward the stage 2 upgrade and leave it cracked.
sooznd, thanks to you i ordered that rubber floor mat i wanted and i otherwise would not have found!
now i have to wait for the japanese lights so i can do the stage 2... i'm excited.
thanks again to everyone!!

yeah vino parts are pricy , a on line scooter parts house
bandit wants 188- 203$ for the 03 leg shield.
tng gets about 65$
the plastic the body parts are made from is abs i think
they do make glue for that, you might look in the plumbing section or for a plastic welder from harbor freight.
btw: you guys think my name is harry? ha ha
i am harry! full face beard and a pony past my sholders.
sounds like OldGuy,sooznd& i did the 6o's too, though parts
of those times are a blur... ah....what were we talking about.. ?

Different Yamaha dealers seem to have different attitudes about parts and accessories for scooters. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I've had the best luck ordering from Canadian dealers just over the border. I'm not joking.

Hey i had the same problem with my vino (02' that i got for 180 bucks... not too jealous of ya!) i had an extremely cracked fender in the rear that was seperated in two. Easiest fix ever! Get some super glue.. no joke dude it works like a charm. take the broken parts off and run a small line down the cracks in the fender while holding it in the right place. After about 5 mins (your hands get real tire) it will be stuck like cement. about a buck for several tubes from walmart and just apply about 2 to 3 layers over every crack. Here are some pics of mine.
