Installed the Airsal, .........been breakin' it in for a little while, then started having problems starting it..............changed out plug etc., then I noticed the gasket between the jug and crank case is torn and obviously D.O.A.
Has this happened to any of y'all ????? I'm not happy. I can't keep this #$@%*^& scooter on the road for more than two days at a time. Two days on, two weeks off. Holler at me

how can you tell its torn? if it is torn now, it was when you put it on......

this is exactly why people the need their scoots are their reliable modes of transport, not mod.
hope you get it all straightened out. A new gasket kit for the airsal is very common. You should be able to have one at your house in a few days.

Actually, I'll whip up one myself.................a rubber one this time as oposed to a cheap paper one.........................and yes, a modified bike is NOT a reliable enough mode of transportation!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got a loan to pay off the rest of what I owe on my roomies motorcycle, soooooooooo, I guess I'll use the old modified scoot when, and only when the big bike is down for repairs.

Thanks Guys !

Rubber may not be a great idea because of the heat factor not to mention it will be thicker and lower your compression. The paper one works fine.

Another thought would be Permatex High Temp.

If you find some of that rubber like gasket material that will work. I have seen it before in like advance auto. Or just find any gasket material that isn't super paper thin.
