well, as everyone has figured out, I love trying new parts all the time....... I am having trouble getting ALL the parts I need for the "super-bore" and am currently stuck in the 70cc zone.........for now.

As I continuosly tune/mod the 70cc, I am getting better/better results...... I have SAFETLY achieved a 55mph street ZUMA that only runs at 5000rpm and has great acceleration. I have the up-gears in the mail from Provo as we speak and will let everyone know the results when I test them..................

well, it has taken what seems like forever, but the "top seceret" parts are on the way........ My Zuma will be 105cc VERY soon..... cant wait to post some speed numbers..... (Jered, 65mph here I come!)

those are sick!

WOW! Do you need to mod the caseing to fit that monster in the engine?

Lennox
11-21-2004, 03:23 PM
yes, some grinding will be needed. I need to match the ports from the case to cyl as well as grind a bit to let the crank fit.........

hey lennox,

Is that the one that you toasted? The 70cc one?

If I remember correctly you oil pump failed or something and toasted the cylinder? right?

Lennox
11-23-2004, 04:07 AM

hey, you need to check out the "HOW TO" on the oil pump disable...

Since you have such easy access... I'd do it before you install that monster cylinder!

Lennox
11-26-2004, 02:11 PM
yeah Jered, NICE job on the OIL PUMP DISABLE (http://www.provoscooter.com/vbull/article.php?a=26) article!

I have not gotten that far yet. You see, I am doing this one in my efficientcy. I need to stop by my warehouse for some special tools ;) . Until then, I am taking a break...... :o

I hope to have it up and running by Saturday afternoon, or Sunday morning...... I will try to post some more pics...

My scooters prefer tile floors.....lol :D I built a rental unit on the side of my house, and since I didn't like the tenants, I kicked them out, and now I use it for storage/scooters.

I would like to take back my estimation for time of completion.... It seems as though I am going to have to grind a little more than I originaly thought.......

Lennox
11-26-2004, 07:22 PM
here is a close up of where the oil pump goes. I am going to leave it out all together, and make a plate to block it off.

how you dont go with a bigger crank to make a 125 out of that motor and get some real power. my freind has something like what your building but with a 53watercooled obre and his bike is super fast. his bike is a true 90mph bike and he is planning on getting a bigger crank to make a 125cc so that will have to put the bike close to the 100mph mark. also what pipe do you plan on using with that stroker kit. i have a friend out here that deals with yamaha stroker parts, if you want to get in contact with him let me know.

Lennox

the news you have all been waiting for..................

I finally got some numbers...... I still have no cooling shroud, and am still not broke in yet.... so these WILL go up, as I only went 3/4 throttle...... for 3 runs and a total of about 5-7 minutes!

Run #1 57mph low end breaks up bad
Run#2 (after a pilot jet change) 64 STRONG low end
Run #3 (after a main jet change) 66 still needs tuning.......

cool... not only over 60 but over 65mph... congrats...

I'm hoping... I'm probably gonna get a polini FOR RACE pipe... I found a deal on one... so... Hopefully that'll get me some better top end than the leo ZX I have...

jered that thing will do wonders for your bike. those pipes are really solid. i wouldnt doubt it if you got your bike over 65 when you get it set up right.

well from what i have seen and alot of what i heard of and found to be true by knowing other people knowing the same people i think it is very possible to have a true 90mph bike with the right gearing. If he is doing 73 now with no overrange and no serious gearing i think it is very possible. Rydah any thoughts on this?
O and when i get mine from what i've heard and from what iv'e seen those peppy ARISALS do and with know real race parts like i'm gonna have 65+ is a thing of the past i should definetely have a 70+mph bike...

airsal's....

are okay but they are tuned "mild" from the factory to keep from being in competition with the cylinders they make for other manufacturers... IE: they might make the Malossi MHR cylinder, so they don't want to compete with a large company who had them make the cylinder...

anyway, if you get it ported out it'll be a beast... I've also heard from multiple places to get the cylinder re-coated with a better coating and that also helps a bunch with reliability of the cylinder...

When your cylinder is right, or you've got the right cylinder, the pipe is absolutely critical to performance. Even an Evo will be a dog with a cheap pipe. Then, of course, there are those inner rotor programmable ignitions.....

well, I know that my pipe is my weak link!! I am still running my Technigas!

Does anybody know what pipe would be best for my set-up?
