Does anyone know if there are any worthwhile modifications one can make to a 2006 Vino Classic (4-stroke)? I am (kind of) in the market for a 125, but I have found someone motivated to sell their 06 Classic. I'm fairly ignorant about the 4-strokes and what one can do to them, so I'm reluctant to jump right in and buy the thing. Are there analogous big-bore kits, etc., for 4-strokes? If so, is there an online shop/retailer anyone would recommend?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

there really isn't much on the market for them right now...

I believe there is a pipe, and might be a cylinder...

and of course... no one on here will post a link as it's against the TOS (which everyone who registered agree'd to the rules)...

a vino 125 will get you in teh 55mph range (tops)... a vino 50cc would probably be closer to 40 mph...

Both are expensive to mod and hard to come by parts right now...

if you are looking for something to mod and want availability of parts... I'd look for a 50cc 2 stroke... doubt you will find much in the new market... but used you should be able to find some...

Yeah, parts a hard to find, though this site has told me they'll be getting parts sooner or later.

Does anyone know if you can squeeze the engine out of 125 into the 06 50 chasis? or what a suitable engine swap would be?

the scooters are about the same size.i don't think that would help much.

the 50cc vino is a lot smaller then the 125 vino...

the zuma and vino 125 are compairable in size... and the vino is the smaller brother of the zuma...

There are really only three worth while mods available for the Vino50. If you do a bit of poking around, you can find a performance variator, lighter roller weights and a performance exhaust.

My wife's 50 will get my 215lb butt up to around 38mph on flat ground, bone stock. She can top 40 on the same bike (It helps to be little and skinny!)

The new variator, rollers and exhaust will allow the engine to operate more efficiently than stock and generate it's peak sooner. Like my wife said yesterday when I tried to explain it to her.. "It will make me go faster, sooner."

All total, the parts can be had for around $300.00. Any motorcycle shop can swap them for you, or if you feel adventerous, you can do the work yourself. The manual is available in PDF format and gives good step by step instructions.

After the mods, don't expect the Vino50 to keep up with a 125. The old saying is "There's no replacement for displacement". But it will do alot better than stock.
