Custom parts and modifications require a certain level mechanical proficiency for proper installation. Many posts, pm, and emails later, I still get an amazing number of messages (a fraction compeered to Erich!) requesting help with installs, most of whom open with stating they have never turned a wrench in their life. I had become so inidated with private communication that I won't talk shop on the forums anymore from burn out!
Performance part installs for a scooter is not as simplistic as plug and play boards for one's computer, nor is installation as simple plugging in an amp to a car's stereo system, these require specific skill, and experience not to be taken lightly. As much as I love to see sales made on the store, all the sales and parts in the world do not mean a thing if the customer can not install them. Customizing a scooter like modding any other motor, whether it is a car, or a boat requires the mech to be familiar with basic mechanical operations and theories. Whether you are installing a pipe in a 03 Zuma or a super charger in your 85 Mustang, the mech must have a base understanding of basic mechanical knowledge.
Without those fundamentals, all the online tech support on these forums, or over the phone with Erich are moot, if the person in needs lacks the understanding of the instruction being given to complete the install. So before purchasing any custom part, please if you do not have the expertise required yourself to install the parts, have an experienced friend or mech who can.
