wait a second here... i'm totally confused... i thought vinos and metros were almost the same, minus a few little differences (same with vino and venice?)... i understand all these nearly identical looking bikes are made by different companies, but aren't they all pretty close really?

i always thought the metro was a "cheaper" scoot than the vino. yet you're saying putting 10,000 miles on a metro is like 5,000 on a vino, what?!

Metro is Honda's 4 stroke 49cc

Vino is Yamaha's 2 stroke 49cc

Only thing in common is they are both scooters for the most part...

right, i didn't know that before this thread, but i've never looked into the metro too much... better shocks and four stroke, in exchange for smaller, not as classy looking, no luggage rack, etc... i'm cool with the vino.

metro 1 and 2 and bolth very slow and have mods but cost like 367 for a 70 kit. metros are smaller are not good for any one over 5'10 im 6'2 and i loook like a freak on it my legs are all stuck out my nees are above the bars pain to turn on it. the metro 1 is slow only 23mph and the merto 2 is 35mph wtich makes it a pain if you want to ride on a road that has cars on your tail

The Metro and Vino are VERY different scooters at the moment, but the new Vino (Codenamed, Bianca) will not only look a like, but have very similar motor setups.

How could you ride it when I'm at work? You can't figure out how to disable the steering column lock! But that would explain the extra bug splatter and the extra mileage I've been trying to figure out this past summer. On a mental note, use the cable lock around the front tire from now on.
