I just took my stage 2 kit off of a 2004 LS'49 with over 6000 miles on it and put it onto a 2005 LS'49 sport with 600 miles on it. The 2004 with the kit went about 55mph, but when I put it onto the 2005, it's a lot slower, both acceleration and top speed. I didn't change the rollers or anything. Anyone have any idea why it would be slower?

You kinda answered your own question.

But both scooters weigh the same exact amount, does that matter?

I figured it out, I didn't use the springs that came in the kit for either of the scooters because I couldn't get the bolt off (I even took it to the scooter shop and they couldn't get it off) and apparently the older clutch springs were a lot stiffer, so I just used my old clutch set.
