Yup, good ol kymco. I'm not sure, but I think these are a lil better than geely and those other bargain scooter companys. King Vino knows more about them, his dealer was selling them.

Kymco is pretty big. They got in to the scooter biz before the big craze last year. A lot of the scooters I see in this area is Kymco. They're made in Taiwan, but we use to sell a lot of them at YMC, so Matt liked them more than the Zuma and Vino because we made more money off of them than we did with the Yammy. They're pretty decent, I like them more than TNG, and quite a few members in the FEZ ride Cobra Crosses and Super-9's. The Super-9 would be a fast bike if not for all that added weight of being water cooled.

i was in hagerstown md. today shopping with my g/f. while i was down there i went to a place today that sold them, called hagerstown moped and hobbie. and they wanted $2500 for a USED super 9. forget that, that is what a new one retails for. so i went to another place down there called twiggs cycle and he can get me a new zuma for $18xx (what ever the retail is for it) so im going to stick with the zuma.

Hagerstown's J&T Motorsport sells the Kymco Super-9's new. Several of our memberws have boguht thiers there. Personally, I hate Hagerstown, and prefer being in Frederick or Cumberland any day of the week!

Hi King,

Just got back from my father for Thanksgiving. He lives in a gated community in WV called Alpine Lake (skiing, golf, sailing, etc) which is about 10 miles west of Oakland, MD, so we were about an hour's drive from Cumberland. I've only been to Hagerstown once, back in 1979 I believe. I was giving Instrument dual instruction to a flight student and we were on our way back from Cape May, in the clouds, when we started picking up ice and diverted to Hagerstown to land. Ended up getting a hotel and spending the night. I recall watching the Pirates on TV in my room in the World Series, so it must have been October. We won the series that year, our second series win of the 70s! :)
