hey yall. im a newb here and to scootering. i dont have my scooter yet but i will have it at the beginning a the year (me and my girlfriend just moved out on our own 3 weeks ago so i got to resave $$). im geting a brand new zuma. im not sure if im goting to do performance mods to it. because im not clear on the laws here in PA. i do have one of those piece of crap APC MINI CHOPPERS (if u want to consider it a scooter, i dont) that i was able to make go 30 mph over the stock 20mph by tuning the carb, removing unneeded wait, and removing the one muffler (it has two). but its not road legal so i got to watch for cops when i ride it. thats why im geting a zuma. and im counting the days. i cant wait. but what sucks is itll still be cold when i get it so i still wont be able to ride it.

Well... Welcome to the group... and soon to the scootering family...

As you probably told yourself... APC mini chopper.... Means you have an expensive toy! if you know what I mean...

anyway... the zuma's fun... You'll love it...

I put over 1300 miles on mine in around 5 months...

If you need any assistance... let me know...

Jered

Ahhhhhhh another zuma boy! Dude, buddy.... you gotta get a vino! It's common knowledge that vinos are way cooler than zumas. :D

When provo started it was all Vino, then in November of 03 we added the Venice and it kicked us up about 20% in members, but adding Zuma in to the mix this spring kicked us another 70% to our member base. So the Zuma has been a G-dsend for Provo.

it's cause the zuma is cool and the vino is a sissy bike...

HEHEHE!

Just kidding guys...

either one he picks will be great... just as long as he gets a real scooter and not one from an auto parts store!

i dont like the look of the vino thats why im geting a zuma.
as for the oil, im gona run synthetic(sp?) but do i still run 2cycle or use regular oil since it has that auto lube thing. if i still use 2 cycle does it matter what brand as long as it synthetic, because the only sythetic 2 cycle i can find is that POULAN (sp?) brand for chainsaws. I havent had any time to go to any local motorcycle shops to see if they carrie it.
im asking because im going to have all this stuff ready as soon as i get the scoot.

I use a synthetic that is used by race 2 stroke motorcycles... it's like $14.00 a quart... or something close to that... I think the name is in my scootergarage profile...

I wouldn't use chainsaw oil... but don't think it'd hurt... donno...

Your local motorcycle shops should have synthetic oils...
