Does anyone know where the fuel filter would be on a 2004 Bullet? I am assuming here that there is one.

between the tank and carb of course........ LOL. Not all scoots come with one, however it never hurts to ADD one. ..done..

well it hurts on hi power motors, i tried one as did pinky and it reduced fuel flow enough to stutter the motor. I guess i need to try one from a sport bike

what kind do you have? the stuff locally must not be hi flow. and a filter is better than none. Pinky has been clogging his jets alot lately.

I'm assuming that there is no fuel pump on the Derbis, which would mean that the gas is more or less gravity-fed. So there isn't much pressure to push the fuel through the filter. That may be why it's not getting enough gas to the engine. You might have better luck with a filter designed for gravity-fed bikes. Of course, this is just a guess, and I could be way off base. Such are the things that occupy my mind at work (of course it isn't work related!)

BP Deleon, your Derbi has a fuel filter, yes, itīs in the fuel tank, and is attached to the fuel cock that you can see on th right hand side under the tank. 2 rubber pipes attach to the cock, one feeds fuel into the carb, the other gets vaccum pressure from the carb to allow the fuel cock open the fuel passage. So they are not gravity fed. Usually the lower pipe is for vacuum, the top one for fuel.

Thanks for the info. Since I've get my Bullet in a heap of little pieces right now, I'll go ahead and check my filter.
