How do I speed up my acceleration??
My scooter goes 45+, but it takes 100 years to get there.

How do I go faster, faster?

usually the 1st place to start is to change the rollers to ligher ones... however we'd need to hear the current set up of your scooter to help more...

oh. sorry.

Scooter is 49cc

I have the the Stage One upgrade:

-Kevlar Belt
-Lightest Rollers (if lightest are best - why use them at all? Theoreticaly wouldn't no weight be better than any weight?)
-Stock Cluch Springs (upgraded spring broke 2 days ago - i'm sure that effects the acceleration)
-Upgraded Clutch tension srping
-R-Pipe
-new variator pulley
-size 70 main Jet (stock is 64)

I get the speed alright, it just seems to take me forever to get over 25.
When i do, it just sails. - it's getting up there that's the problem.
I'm thinking that it is the cluch springs. am i right?

which variater, there is a mod for the techno.......but it works on all, even stock.

Cluthc spring might help.......

you CANNOT ride with no roller weights......... you will stay in "first" gear forever.... or maybe not even move? Im not sure..... anyway you cant do it!!

i don't think the clutch springs are the issue, i have pretty much the same set up as you, though i haven't re-jetted yet, (currently at 66) upgraded tension spring, but stock clutch springs, and i have no problem shooting right up to around 40, though then it takes me a while to get to 47-50, and once i'm there, as you said, it sails...

Yeah, mine was like that for a while.

but these days i takes forever and it's pissing off motorists around me. (and me)

is it something with my carb? somethign i can can adjust - to get back the horseower i had when i first upgraded?

...and i know everythings conooected right, i've done it 30 times!!!
