 As I was out Scooting today I noticed that while running full throttle the scoot seemed to sputter a bit. My fuel light was on and so I thought it might be just a low gas thing. So I stopped and filled up, and went into the store to buy a drink. Well when I got out I started up the scoot and when I went to go, the scoot would just start to rev up, then cut out, start to rev up, then cut out...wouldnt move...just revved, sputter sputter...rev...and so on. Then it dies. My thoughts are that its something with the carb...but i'm not sure. Can someone PLEASE help me out....I'm begging. If it is the carb, is there a good how to, step by step on how to fix the carb? I've been reading some articles and will probably be able to do it...I just need a little more dumbed down instructions. Someone help...i'm dying without my scoot....Help  ..pray..

check a spark plug plastic cap loose connection that goes on top of a plug. should have good connection. may cause engine to misfired with loose connection.

wow emergency has seemed to lost its meaning.
its not your carb, most likely the plug like was mentioned. Prolly someone messed with your bike while you were buyin a drink.

Maybe running lean on low fuel? Been happening lately. Another couple guesses would be since its low on fuel, its sucking on the bottom of the tank, maybe plugged a screen or pulled dirt or moisture in?? Check that one of those "sputters" didn't blow a rubber boot off like on the carb or airbox. I doubt its the carb, unless it sucked in dirt. First and always, change with a NEW plug. If the problem persists, do a compression check.

I say pull it over and run away as fast as you can!
My brothers '04 venice is sitting in my backyard once again waiting to be worked on, and I have to tell you I am darn sick of the thing!!!!!!!
This scoot spends more time getting worked on than scooting!
That is the TRUTH!
When I see his bike my stomach turns and I need a drink!
It is simply a waste of time and money.
I have to say I really do feel for all these people that have purchased these Chinese scooters.

I would never walk away from my scoot. I love it too much. Its an engine, it'll break, and I'm willing to put the time into it to make it run smoothly. If you are truly sick of your brothers scoot, I would be more than willing to take it off your guy's hands. Feel free to contact me and we can arrange shipping. I love these things.

I thank you for all you suggestions. I havent had a chance to work on it at all, but will certainly give all those things a try. I am having a hard time believing its the spark plug as I just replaced it no more than two months ago. I'm not saying thats not what it is, but it would suprise me if it was. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I'd like to have as many attempts as I can before I go to work on it. Thanks again!!! ::unk::

chnage the plug 1st. a lot of people go off the deep end with "possible" problems and you'll end uop doing a ton of work for nothing and with a high probabilty it will run worse afterwards.
