they are for turning signals. The same scooter in Japan has a different light setup. people buy these and replace the stock ones.

don't ask for a link here, but do a search for japanese blinkers and you should find something. Sooznd has got the scoop on it.

The ones I put on my Vino are a clear lens with an amber light.

If you remove the side panels from your Vino, the small turn signal covers are held in place by two phillips head screws. The lights that I installed matched up with the factory screw holes, but I had to do some simple wiring modifications. Over all it was a very simple mod.

is it possible to splice the line and add the jap blinkers and keep the current US ones so you would have a total of 4 blinkers?

the new lights from motorsports scooters are actually genuine Yamaha parts from Asia--no longer the TNG Milano ones and they just plug in---

I guess i'll have to scoot down to motor sport scooters this weekend and give them a look see. I would totally be into keeping my original blinkers and just adding the new ones that would be baller! Thats the nice thing about living in san diego I can just go pick up my parts :)

Scoot Lord---if you go to the Motor sports scooter store--would you do me a favor and see if they will sell the amber cover lenses by themselves & how much? I already have the TNG Milano tail lights with the clear cover and would like the amber covers instead.

Muchas Gracias.

I'm sorry i didn't make it to motor sport scooters it was a crappy weekend here and I didn't get out to scoot at all. I was lazy and didn't nothing but buy a new tent at REI. I will probably head down there this week or weekend for sure and I'll check for you.

Scoot Lord-- no worries.. There is no rush -- this is just one of the items on my wish list and I certainly do not need the amber lens covers since I have perfectly good clear ones ;)
