Ok....it fell over...but still.....This is how it happened. I got off the bike, put the side stand down, maybe with a hint of forward motion still left. I was looking back at the house thinking someone would open the garage door for me since they were waiting on me to get home so we could leave, and when I turned around to look at the house I felt this crushing feeling on my leg! It fell over onto me! My leg saved my bike though. The only damage sustained was (besides a huge bruise on my shin) a super tiny almost unnoticable scratch where the 2nd rider would put his feet down, on the left side of the bike.

They say within the first year everybody's bike falls down, whether or not they're riding it. And now its happened. Good, now I can relax.

What a sinking feeling!! To feel sharp pain followed by a metalic scraping noise!!! Ouch!!! I stood her up and she was no worse for wear. Thank God!!

I almost dropped mine yesterday. I park it behind my 280ZX (see signature) in the garage parallel to the rear bumper and I leave it on the center stand. Usually I stand on the side of the scoot away from the car to push it off the stand, but yesterday I stood between the scoot and the car's rear bumper... big mistake! When I pushed it off, I lost my balance a bit and ended up not being able to move my legs to steady myself because I was trapped between the car and the scoot (I only had enough room to barely squeeze between them!). Anyway, the scoot fell away from the car, but I kept hold of one of the handlebars, so it didn't go all the way over... but it did go to about a 30 degree angle off the ground! Not a scratch, fortunately... I think the kickstarter touched the ground, but it didn't chip it. I was darn lucky! I'm suck a klutz :)

Laying down a bike during parking is the most common time it occurs for almost any two wheeled vehicle. The Vino fortunately is not that heavy although surprisingly heavy when you almost drop it. So don’t feel bad as the park and drop happens to 99% of all two wheel vehicle owners. The key is to be fully aware of the kickstand position before you get off and never bee in a hurry to just jump off too quickly

Haven't layed the Vino 125 down...BUT...

it was backed up into as it was parked in a parking space.

My wife parked it as usual at work and according to my wife, the woman who knocked it over was backing up her SUV into the spot where the Vino was...she didn't even see it. Just crazy!

Luckily, the woman was honest and we eventually got a check from her to fix the damage (new front fender, side cover, front turn signals, rear turn signals and rear light).

Hi Java, All suv's have bad blind spots, where the driver can't see anything, but mini vans are worse. I've had a number of minivans pull into my lane just in front of me, and even along side! with out seeing me, and that was while driving my suv!. If you notice, the damage on most minivans, is usually caved in panels in the center of the body(there biggest blind spot). Glad you got the money to fix it. james

You hit the nail on the head there. Now, whenever I walk away from it, I pull backwards on the whole bike to make sure the kickstand is down and locked in its forward position. It's so easy to do, and ironically enough I thought this would never happen to me! LOL I couldn't even make it through the break in without it happening! LOL I have to remember, if shyt can happen, it will happen to me. My past has proven that over and over again.
