I'm looking at maybe having a 2nd scooter to leave stock... What is the deal with the vino's anything great or horrible about them?
They look ~~~SEXY~~~ IMO and I like the retro look...
I went with the zuma before as it was all that was in stock for the 04's...
Also is the 4 stroke 125 vino worth looking at? It's about $800 more...
And since I just upgraded my zuma with a grand worth of parts... Maybe that was a better start!?
Just looking for opinions for now... Might be a buy sometime this winter or early spring...

You'd need to mod the Vino 50, but a stock 125 is all good. Sadly the 125 is a four stroke, so modding is burp!

Wow, that poll is pretty cut and dry, dead 50/50 aye. Well, we better get used to 4 strokes, cuz thats all that'll be on the market in a few years.

So basically the 125cc will do 55-60 stock, but lacks in umph...
The stock 49cc will lack in umph but can be easily modded as my Zuma (just more $$$ invested) and go ZOOOOOOOOOOOM... But still top at around 55-60...
Ho hum... I think I might save a little and hit the 125cc... But I liek the smaller 2 stroke idea better... Mayeb more posts will influence me more... Will be a few months before I buy it anyway...

The only downside I see to modding a 2-stroker is that you lose that reliability factor. Yeah I know, a lota dudes say their fully blown stage 3 vinos have had lil problems, but still, a lot of people have had problems. As the saying goes... if you want reliability, stay stock. Another thing you lose is those great mpg figures. A stage 3 vino loses 20-25mpg than stock. Now with a vino125 you get the top speed, and the great mileage! 2-strokes are stinky too, and a lot more noisey (due to pipe and cc upgrade).

Of course Davey a lot of people who have issues with the S3 upgrades to may not have the experience or troubleshooting skill. Personally I still rack my brakes with S1 upgrades LOL My two mothns part time at YMC, never said I was any good at it, LOL. I'm glad to be back around my cameras again :)

My wife told me that she would cut my balls off if I bought another one... So I think I'm only a single scooter owner...
I think here thoughts are, why pay 1800 for another scooter, when I can only ride one and she wears she will not ride one...
GRRR.... It's not that difficult to ride and she rode one a few years ago and loved it but won't touch it now... Maybe when we move back to the lower 48... If we are by the ocean somewhere....

I don't doubt it. Mine sure wouldn't hesitate if I get one more thing with a motor in it! I thisk she put it best: You get one more thing with motor in it, I buy thing with motor in it, mah! I'm hoping she is talking about importing a Nissan Skyline and not what I think she means.

Oh that's me, Larry. Aaron is just a screen/log-on name. Ron Jeremy is my REAL name.

Dude tell me you are joking about not knowing who Ron Jermey is?
My vote is for the 125 if you have to do it right now- I would wait a few years.
To me if all we are going to be able to buy is 4 stokes then the performance market will gear itself to making it easier and more cost efficent to tweak them. That might include nitro or whatever. I am sure if all we get is 4 bangers someone out there will make 4 banger parts for us.

Yup, I agree with you. But why have they not already? If you look at it, the 2stroke to 4stroke ratio is pretty close (in america that is). I think they don't, and probably won't, make 4 stroke aftermarket performance parts because we don't need em. Almost all 4stroke scooters are 125cc or bigger and are already fast enough as it is.

HUH! You must be kidding... Everything needs some mods... I drive a zuma and a zx3 focus... the scooter is heavily modded and the zx3 has an intake, cat back, mild body kit, projector lights, ford racing tail lights, stereo system, neons... Needless to say I have invested a bit o cash into both of the vehicles I drive... Now I do have a durango and the only mod is a K&N filter replacement...
Everything must be modded... It's a cardinal sin to not change parts out...

It's funny cause she was hitting the site from work and getting me when she gets home, and I'd be like, "How'd you know?" and she's all like, "No dinner for you, mah", and I'd be like, "fine" I have a scooter anyway" and she get mad, and throw the cat at me, who in turn gets mad and attacks her leg. She yells at the cat to stop attacking her and to attack me instead, LOL.

jered, I edited your poll. the reason you only got there replies was because it was only opened for one day. So it is not set to close on 9-9-04, so it can run for a month.
