I've heard that if a 2-stroke isn't up to temp, there could be too much fuel drop-out and actually lean-out the mixture too much, maybe leading to a siezed motor. Anyone know anything about this?

It would take a fair amount of time and cold situations for that to occur.

where do you live? Comption? Where is that located?
I live in alaska... and have had sub 40 temps for over a month.... Nothing like what your saying...?
What could the cause be? I doubt that the temps could be causing that...

The reason I ask about this, is several people I know run Honda 125 GP bikes at the track, and they tape up their radiators to modify how the bike is running. I would have thought that a thermostat could be put into place (in-line) so taping isn't necessary. I can't tape my radiators, to much crap in the way.

That's an interesting thought... as taping the radiator up would cause it to run hotter...
Hrmmm...mmmm...mmm...
I am unable to assist with this one....
Anyone else wanna take a stab at it?
