Ok, so the last one wasn't too popular. Here's another.

Spent the last couple of hours rounding off the edges on the
inside of the reed cage. Didn't make a whole lot of difference, but
it did add about 100rpm at the top. Hit 44mph several times on
my test strip, where it rarely would do it before.

While I was putting it back together, I noticed that two corners of
the stuffer were partially blocking one set of reeds, so those stuffer
edges were groung off.

That's probably it for today.

I am just waiting to see you go all out someday and get like a full 2F4R setup and some VForce3 reeds. lol :jesta:

I'm sure it will happen. Although brakes are starting to become an issue.
Have a bad feeling that at some point the scooter is going to be laid
up for months, while I weld a zuma steering column to it! Have to get
the crazy stuff out of the way first.

Just put a Galfer caliper and disc on like str8. If your going through all that work just for a Zuma front end, do that Galfer and fit it...

If it happens I'd like to keep the whole project down to around $350 max.
Not sure if I remember the right post, but weren't str8's brakes alone about
that much?

why not just get an aftermarket fork? That would save you tons of time and you get a better/more adjustable fork. Pretty sure the dopplers are under 350$

That would be great, would definetely rather do that.
I've seen some from a company called Buzetti. Would
have to call them and see if they have them for the Vino.
They are expensive though, bare forks for around $300.

There was a post on the Zuma threads by pinky a few
weeks back. I think he mentioned forks being available
with brakes already on them. He didn't mention the
manufacturer.

malossi comes with a caliper, but those are $$$ ( as would any fork with a 250+$ caliper)
