SO I pulled the cylinder and found out that mi piston did infact seize, The piston is a little bit scored as is the sleve but the ring is totally shot. Does anyone know if I can just replace the ring, or do I need to invest in a new bore kit.? Also on the carbs from provo. what are the two clear tubes for? and lastly what is the copper and ceramic circle for that comes with the bore kit?

ooops, sorry........
1. If the cylinder is not scored, you MIGHT be able to get away with a "ring job" can you feel grooves in the cyl walls?
2. the clear tubes are vent/overflow.
3. The "circles" can be used as exhaust gaskets.

Elf, were you able to hone it? I forgot to mention that if you have a Nikasil sleeve, you can remove ring frgments with muriatic acid....
