Well, I finally rode my Vino 125 for a good distance... I went a little over 50 miles today. I now have 91 miles on the odo! Anyway, when I got it home, I noticed a small amount of oily residue on the rear wheel. I got to looking a little closer, and there was a small amount of oil all over the wheel and its spokes, and also on the transmission near where the wheel attaches to it. Is this normal?? I certainly wouldn't think so... A tiny amount had managed to get onto the tire sidewall near the lip of the wheel also. I figure perhaps something in the final drive is leaking a bit?

i would clean it really well just in case you drove thru a puddle or something, if you see more evidence of a leak after that i would take it to the shop.

Am I way off base thinking that 50 miles of riding in the center of a lane that has oily residue on it would put a light coat of oil on the underside of the bike?

that would have to be an uncommonly oily cennter lane
