I noticed today as my coworker took my Vino for a ride that my scooter lets out more exhaust than I thought it would. It only has about 45 miles on it. Is this normal? If so, how much is a sign that something is wrong? Am I driving my new scooter too hard or something?

you know... If you are running regular dino oil... then more than likely you will smoke a BUNCH...

My wife followed me home when I bought mine and she freaked out thinking something was wrong with the engine....

LOT's O SMOKE!

I now use a low smoke full synthetic oil and barely smokes at all....

Dino, like the purple dinosaur? The Vino smokes like a beast even with the Yamalube 2. It use to bother Elise a lot so I switched over to Yamalube 2 Jet Ski s-cycle oil and it cut that back a lot. But as long as you use semi or fully-fossilized oil, you're going to get a lot of smoke, and it's more noticeable when it's cooler out.

Is that a full synthetic oil then? If so I'll definitely have to switch to that when I change out my oil!

It's semi-synthetic with the blue lable.

What about the following product you sell on the site: Motul 100% Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil. Is that any good? You recommended the jet ski oil instead of this, so is it not as good?

I haven't used it. I used the old oil we sold the iPone, it smoked, but it smelled like berries, LOL. But I don't think it sold too well. When Provo started up the focus was strongly Vino based, then Vino-Venice but our membership jumped 80% when we added Zuma to the mix.

Damn zuma guys..... takin over the place!!!

As for the oil, yamalube only smokes when the engine is cold on my vino. Motul smokes even less when starting up. But smoke doesn't matter (matters to the environment), fully syn oil increases the life of your engine. Less smoke is just a bonus.
