break-in oils

Does anyone know what the recommended break-in
oil type would be for the 250cc kymco's? I know the
manual says 10w-40 weight. I know many dealers
recommend synthetic oil after break-in.

break in 4 strokes with dino oil. after that time, you can switch to syn. The motors last pretty much forever, so use which ever u want. You wont see a difference.

Hi,

The dino oil sounds like a good bet. I did talk to at least 8 kymco
dealers today and they were pretty much divided. Roughly half said
use only synthetic oil and the other half said use regular 10W-40 oil.

The brands were all different at all eight dealers but several recommended
castrol oil. Sounds like most of them will work as long as they are
changed frequently.
