I have problems starting my zuma. This is all started after I took the Zuma to dealer after teh Zuma just died on me while I was riding. I took the bike there and they said that the Reed Valve Gasket was sucked into the motor.

Well I got the reed valve assembly replaced. Now when I go to start the the bike, it starts right up just like when it was new. But then when I let it sit for a little like a minute or maybe less then it dies.

The electric starter won't start it back up. I am scared to just sit on the starter for fear of burning it out. I have to kick start it. I kick start it and it dies and the process repeats it self. Everytime I try to add some gas while it starts up after the kick start it just dies, it feels like the motor gets flooded.

Any ideas on what could be wrong. This only happens when the motor is cold. Like when I start it a next day, or after leaving it for hours.

Thanks.

sounds like they screwed with the carb adjustment... I'd be willing to bet that they richened it up... or possibly screwed somethign else up...

Your explanation above sounds like when I broke my jet... the scooter would start but if you touched the throttle it would die from being flooded!

Open the bowl up and see if they somehow made the main jet loose or possibly broken...

However if your getting warrenty work done to it, then you shouldn't mess with it... bring it back to the dealer and show them the problem....
