I know there are different types of 70cc kits. On ebay I found a 70cc kit, and it seems like it is a no name kit, and I think it is an iron kit. It comes with the cylinder, piston, rings and gaskets. That would be everything that is included in a 70cc kit?

So here is my question what is a good 70c kit? Are the iron ones good? Is there a performance between the iron one and the aluminum one? Will I go faster with an aluminum one over an iron one?

Thanks.

There is a handy little button on the top in the blue bar called "search" it may get you a quicker answer in the future........;)

A very diplomatic reply, hoss. I'm thinking of making an announcement with a pic in regards to the search tool.

I purchased the cast iron cylinder due to the fact that it had 2 piston rings rather than the aluminum's one.

Nikasil cylinders are superior technology and the wear of Nikasil is often quoted as 10 times that of cast iron.

Modern Nikasil coated motocross bikes generally have oversized pistons available in 0.00025 increments, A thru D. That means when you have finally worn to the largest piston the "D" your cylinder is a whopping one thousandth of an inch larger.
