Hey guys i installed a open air filter and it bogged after about 30, i installed a restrictor i made in the intake, and it ran good all the way the 52 without bogging, i did a plug read with the restrictor in there, and it was coffee brown, i have a 102 jet in there now, im thinkin i need a bigger jet because the bogging without the restrictor, and i still have the stock exhaust on there. Will i need to go even a lil bigger on the jet with the leovince pipe?.

if you placed a "restrictor" in the intake... you limited the amount of air... to equal the fuel... So that makes sense...

However, I would think a 102 jet is to big...

I have a 19mm carb... so that might be the difference... but I have a 95 jet in mine and it's the correct size...

Not sure how to work it with the smaller carb.... Normally when you "Bog" it's from too much fuel... Not to much air... if your "LEAN" and need to decrease the air flow... then you should have a over rev'ing engine... as it's running on pure adreneline..... Or so you could say anyway...

I'm going to go with Jered on this one. When I was on the Vespa boards, I only saw folks running 102, 105's on 125's and 150's. I think a 102 is a tad big for a 70cc. If you're running a smaller carb, a 17.5, I'd think with the 102 with a restrictor, you may be running to rich. I'd remove the restrictor first before tryingto jet larger once you put the Leo on there.

hybridrazz I see you have the zuma cdi. Have been trying for ages to find something to derestrict my 1999 Razz with no luck! :( Does yours work all good with the setup you have - any modifications/wiring changes needed? What timing setup do you have on it: is it one of those variable ones, or simply one set up for 'race'?
