Okay I did it. I order the stage 1 parts from the provo store. I should have the parts except the kevlar belt by next Thursday (backorder). My question, should I wait until the kevlar belt gets here, or I can have all the other parts installed and have the kevlar installed later? I guess I will have to take it to the Yamaha dealer in Richmond Highway (RT1) to get it all installed. Not mechanical incline in here. :)

Route 1????
Where at?
I think I have a good-old-buddy-ol-pal mech enroute later this year to work on my scoot but want a backup plan...

Richmond Highway??? Wonder if that would be Richmond VA? That's not too far off from us Mark!
You don't need to install the Kevlar belt when you do your stage 1, though your body panels are already off it is easier to do the belt at this time, it is not required.

Closer than that, King Vino - I've ridden my scoot to that shop - it's Route 1, a couple of miles south of the DC beltway. More fodder for the soon-to-be-undertaken DC/NoVA/MD scooter extravaganza!!:p

I'd hate to live down that way between the mixing bowl constriction and the new WWB at Jones Point, 495 is gotta be a nightmare!

GRRRR...
Went to Bungalow's in Kingstown last night over the WWB- when you come back to Maryland you always stuck to the right to get on Route 210 at the 1st exit- now you take that same exit and go to the right which used to take you to 295 North. If not paying attention it adds 15 minutes on to the trip- did it this AM hungover and not too happy about it still...

Okay, my Vino now completed Stage 1, and Michelin S-1 tires. The dealer also changed the kickstand to a larger one due to the new tires. After tunning the motor, now the speed is 51 mph. The technician told me if I get a new non-stock air intake, he believes he can tunned it to do better speed. By the way, now I understand about how loud is the pipe. (Next R). Well today is Thursday, and the weather suppose to be close to 60 degrees. Lunch time I am taking it for a ride in Alexandria, north of the GW Parkway and see how it does. By the way, how long it takes for the kevlar belt to break-in? And when the belt does break-in what I should be seeing? Better acceleration or what?
Thanks for all the info. And by the way, the Yamaha Dealer in Route 1 south, Northern Virginia, does know about Vino's. They did great, and it took them 2 days to complete. I am very happy with their services.

Glad to hear it!
I have been watching what you have going on close in case my plans fall through.

Took the Vino for a ride last Thursday riding from the north end of the City of Alexandria toward GW Parkway North, took a right at the George Washington House, and took a right into Route 1 north back to my office in the City of Alexandria. Total miles 21 miles. Then this past Saturday took the scooter for another ride 18 miles. Very cold morning. Need another 30 miles and then I will have the scooter to sleep inside for a while (I need 300 miles to change the oil). :D
