Okay, As we all know I have a large number or performance parts on my scooter...
Here is the story of my question...
The thing that happened that started with this noise is... I rode to work and the started to hear a "tin" sounding rattle when decelerating from 35+ mph... It only happens till around 20MPH... Litterally happens if I'm riding or on the stand... It's this annoying rattle...
Now the thing with the exhaust is that the rear mount is a "Y" shape and the bolt that holds it onto the muffler onto the bracket fell out...
I didn't notice this for the rest of the day and put about 20 miles on it... However it rattled the whole day... and I know the bolt was there the day before as I washed it and looked to make sure everything was in place...
So my question is... Is the rattle the cylinder that might ave been damaged from bending or something? The exhaust which I looked at and appears to have a seal...
Or is it totally different, the variator? I pulled the variator off several time tinkering with the weights and have noticed that the new variator has extentions that go out further than the stock one on the engine side... Well those extentions RUB... I'm thinking that it might be that... Any thoughts?
I guess on tuesday or wednesday (my days off) I will be tearing it apart again to see what I can find... Just thought I'd see if anyone else has came across this before...
