Anybody know where I can get all the special tools needed to work on a Venice? Does Provoscooter or TNG have them?

Thanks,
Co.Hick

What exact tools do you need? Most can be purchased from Harbor Freight or another hardware/tools place.

the flywheel puller is the only really specialized tool you need. TNG sells them. after that splitting the case and pulling the crank is the next hard task but you can make your own puller for that.
for taking apart the driven pully(rear) i made a simple tool to
hold and compress the torque spring with the clutch in place.
other than that all you need is some metric end/box wrenches& sockets both 8mm to 22mm and a impact wrench.3/8"drive is small for the clutch nut. for the real big (clutch)nut on the rear driven pully just buy a socket that fits from sears. harbor freight is good for the sockets, impact &wrenches.

The lady I talked to at TNG can't help me with the tools because it doesn't have a part number.

Would you happen to have a picture of the tool that you made?

I made some images of the tool list I got from the Venice Mantinance Manual.
Hopefully I did the attachments correctly. Check it out.

FYI - I can send anyone a PDF of the manual if you would like. Just send me a personal e-mail to co.hick@comcast.net and I'll see if I can do it. It's over a 4MB file.

Thanks guys.

the flywheel (rotor)puller is TNGT-M27PULLER msrp 20$
i made my rear drive tool from 2 pieces of plywood 3/4"
about 6"x 8" . in one (with a hole saw) i cut a 3" or so
hole in the middle . i made hole big enough to do 150cc
GY6 pulleys and it works on 49cc scoots too.
anyway i used 2 pieces of all thread, 1/4" i think... with the one(plywood) with out the hole as the bottom and the all thread is anchored
to it. the big hole piece is drawn down on the A.T.
position the pulley so the big nut is accessable to remove it

Or you can just put the pulley, spring, clutch and nut on the ground and then sit in a chair and put your feet on it and compress the spring and clutch down until you can easily put on the nut. Free and simple.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated!

How do you keep the pulleys from rotating while loosening that first nut?
Do you use an impact wrench?

Impact gun at 90psi. comes right off.

i find that its eaiser to line up the flat spots
on the clutch and pulley when re assembeling & also for
removing the nut and keeping the spring compressed until your ready to release the tension useing my jig, and no problems with rotation while removing the nut.

Thanks for all the good advise. I think I'm ready to try it. Wish me luck.
