I have a 2003 Derbi Atlantis with less than 1400 km. All of a sudden, today, it started bogging down as I accellerated. It would just die out, leaving stranded in traffic without the ability to accellerate and then eventually gain some power. When I shut it off, a good amount of smoke came out of the exhaust. I could smell oil.

Is there a choke or a governer that could be doing this.

I'd appreciate any help or advice you can offer.

It's common to find or buy some Derbi scooters...and find the original owner was running it sick sloppy rich.(fuel burning..but not all oil)..my stock pipe was filled so full...the baffles were under a half inch of gunk..no joke felt like it weighed 20 pounds..(Thats why I pre-mix...I don't trust the old Derbi oil pump) Scoot floordaa..says check that plug..if its black..you'll know why.
