Help me pick a first scooter

I have been thinking about a scooter for awhile, and now I can't wait any longer…

I'm in College, and am thinking a scooter would be a fun way to get around, and save money instead of driving my SUV all the time. I'm really interested in the Vino or the Zuma. Looked at vintage ones but too expensive for me right now. I spend my summers in Niagara Falls, NY and go to school in Salt Lake City, UT. I'm about 140lbs. So, a 50cc scooter would be fine I'd say in salt lake as it's all city driving. However here in Niagara Falls, there are a lot of country roads and faster city roads like 45mph speed limits.

I was originally looking to buy new, but I think it's worth $1,000 savings to buy a little used… However they aren't too easy to come by it seems. Input? If I were to buy new, Vino or Zuma? 50 or Vino 125?

Look at Vento. They will be able to do exactly what you want.

wow, they do shipping and everything. Except I'm not crazy over the colors... but what's the main differences/advantages of these over Yamaha? and vice-versa

Yamaha is a name brand. With that you get the rude and bossy a-holes at the dealership usually. And if you ever have them do the service work you can expect to pay top dollar plus a little. Vento uses the same parts and they have a very good reputation. You are also able to get alot of parts for Ventos just like the Yamaha.

And as far as colors, you can always paint them yourself or just get used to it.

OK, looking at these more, doesn't seem like a bad deal. Which is the one to get now? It's not too much more $$ to get 150cc. Only thing is then I'd have to get my Moto. license.

I'd say get a Triton. They'll do just about 50 out the box.

Wow, After checking the prce diffrence I think I might have preferred a Vento, less cosmetic that I'd want to change. Some of them look pretty hot
