Feeling old

I found time to play with my G2 clutch today and would like to pass on a tip. After several attempets to count the threads with my reading glasses and a magnifying lens, I came up with the idea to take a picture with my camera and zoom in on the threads, then count them on the screen. Hope this makes life easier for my fellow old timers. :o

lol, I'll have to remember that! I've been noticing it's getting difficult to focus on some small (*SMALL*) print lately no matter how close I look at it!

Hahaha! It takes a real Man to admit that..I happen to be near-sighted, and do a lot of close-up work and soldering with out my contacts or glasses ...This whole 2G adjustment needs to be done more by "Bite" feel than how many threads are showing.....keep tweaking folks..I'm not done yet.

man right on florida derbi rocket i pulled the bolts off from under the predator to take a look at the exhaust pipe man you have to do that buy feel theres no looking up under there to get started. i can't see worth a crap and the sweat was dripping and the glasses had to come off man its great to be 40 something.

There's a benefit though! I love showing the "kids" on this rock what an adult with (what must seem like to them) an unlimited supply of money can actually do with a 50cc scooter! lol.

Over here the "thing" seems to be to put a "power pipe" on...and that's it. They buy some type of performance exhaust and slap it on and they are done. Still cracks me up when one of them pulls up next to my crappy looking 6 year old scoot with their new flashy painted thing with their "power pipe" and then the light changes... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroar! 60mph...ummm, where are they? Just rolling under the light usually..wondering just exactly what in the hell just happened.

Only surprise I've had so far was some little blue motorcycle I never heard of. Was a 125... started with an R -- something (not even close here I'm sure) like reiju? reijek? No idea. That thing just screamed! Of course the kid on it weighed as much as my nose hair, and his bike weighed about as much as scoots speedo needle.

Just looked around on the net a little..I'm pretty sure it was a Reiju rs2 Matrix ? Whatever that is, couldn't find much other than the name...but it's 12:07am and I'm tired and off to bed.

Well, I wasn't feeling old, till I came across these posts! What am I
doing playing with the scooter every day at 47? :) . The previous, and
current owner now has a car, so this is kind of a hand-me-down from
my own son in law.

The kids around the neighborhood seem to think it's pretty cool. They
all wave when I go by, making a racket, with body panels missing
from my perpetual in progress mods.

I'm just trying to get a little more speed out of it, then i'll be done.. honest!
