i have to say im not quite impressed with my yamaha dealer in town. first off they inflate the prices of zumas and vinos due to thier "popularity" ,,, which in sioux falls scooters are yet to be overly popular. example: 2006 50cc 4stroke vino, yamaha msrp is $1849, dealer price $2400. secondly thier parts pricing doesnt match thier websites parts microfishe. which i find somewhat odd, if a windshild on the fishe is 69 dollars, its 89 when you actually go to purchase it??
but what takes the cake is last saturday i went into the dealership to get a sparkplug br9hs, which they have never sold......would have to order, and cost me 4 dollars each. they did wave the pkg qty so i didnt get stuck with a dozen. i then went to the service dept and asked to talk to the best two stroke wizzard they had....... he did know some about tuneing, but i have to say i felt more knowlegeable about the subject of jetting the carb and plug chops. he had a few suggestions to try, which i will, and reccomended sticking with the stock airbox with my 70cc upgrade. there isnt enough pressure to run an open filter was his words.
its funny that many of you are running unifilters with no problems, but someone that does this for a living cant figure it out....
one bright note, the parts tech i buy my parts from is friendly and knowlegeable for the most part, and if he doesnt know the answer, he researches and calls me back.
over all, i would rate them a5 out of 10.......much room for improvement.
