:) Hi everyone, I just got a 2004 Vino Classic last week. It's the one that's red and chrome, and I am just in heaven. I've wanted to get a scooter for a long time now, and I decided on the Vino over the Vespa ET2, which is highly overpriced in my opinion. I am trying to get recommendations for various upgrades, so can anyone comment on the following?

1) Tires---all I've seen that's recommended are the Michelin S1's
2) Cover---the Dowco is all I know of
3) Locks---someone mentioned the Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit

I've only got 23 miles on the Vino right now so if I upgrade to the Kevlar belt is that too soon?

Thanks again!
Carolyn :)

Hey foosball monkey, welcome...
i have the exact same bike as you, and i love it, i have stage one installed, as well as the michelin s1 tires, and they make a world of difference, drive your vino around stock for a while, then put the stage one on and you'll think, "oh my god, this is what i've been missing!" --the kevlar belt is an absolute must with stage one, and i'd say better tires are too, they'll keep your larger exhaust pipe from scraping the ground, as well give you better control...

Just wanted to say that I don't think the ET2 is not overpriced. That is a solid metal scoot. The vino is like a toy in comparison. Comparing the two is like comparing a BMW M3 to like a acura RSX, sure their both great cars... but you can tell the bmw is far more polished and has the bmw name. Not to put down the vino, I love the lil scoot but a vespa is a vespa.
