I have a serious question and I would REALLY appreciate all the help I can get with my issue. I bought a SUN L 150cc scooter in Nov of last year, it had a ninety day warrenty, inside of that ninety days it died. Every time I would ride it it would build up pressure in the motor and push all the oil out of any hole it could find ( air intake burp valve etc ). The dealership said it needed a new engine and that is when the real ordeal starts. I waited two weeks and called NO engine "call back next week" the next week STILL no engine "call back in TWO WEEKS" you get the picture. They took the scoot in for repairs AT THE LATEST by Febuary I just git it back in MAY. They say the delay was due to the need for a new engine and the manufacturers reluctance to give one up. Well guess what I have had the scoot about two or three weeks put about 300 miles on what I was promised was a new engine and in the last week I have been having problems ie, at Wide Open Throttle it farts and loses power randomly as I back off the throttle it starts to run better, well today it got really bad and it kept dying if I moved the throttle past 1/4 so I decided to look at the spark plug thinking maybe it was fouled. I had changed the oil and mistakenly filled it to the top of the dip stick as opposed to half way so I drained some oil and checked the plug. I was suprised to find the SAME after market plug I had installed in the OLD engine. I don't think they ever REALLY replaced the engine just reworked the old one. Is the spark plug a dead give away or am I missing somthing and would that part of the motor have not been replaced ??????
I have started a dispute with my credit card company trying to get a refund so I can purchase a UM matrix from shop in Tulsa OK ( I live in Fayetteville AR but would gladly drive up there to get a reliable scoot) Or If you know of a good shop somewhere close to me ( about as far as Tulsa ) let me know.
My wife wants me to confront them about the spark plug but I don't want them to be able to say it was my fault for running an after market plug.
