Busted Speedo

I was riding somewhere new last week and hit a big bump. The next time I looked down to check my speed the needle was below the engine oil light (on a venice LX), and stayed stuck there. Earlier this week it became unstuck and was wavering around (even at a stop) and then fixed itself one morning on my way to work. Then that afternoon, it was stuck below the light again, and has been there ever since.

So, anyone out there know how to fix the speedometer.
