Got everything together and I have to say i'm impressed. I still have to fine tune it but it runs and its quick. I have to push the foam air filter to create a restriction to get it to start, but once it runs it will start right back up. What would cause this? I was thinking the choke might not be working. Also there is a wierd noise that sounds like a rattle from the exhaust at light throttle, about 1/4-1/2 throttle. It runs good, but it sounds like something is getting damaged. Over 1/2 to full throttle or under load it goes away. It kind of sounds like variator rattle or something but it is coming from the right side. could this be detonation or is it normal? I know my stock pipe had a wierd resonance at certain rpms. I adjusted the oil cable out about 1/4" or around 4 turns, I also added about 1 ounce of oil to the gas. I am running premium gas either 92 or 93 octane. I have been riding it and the throttle really makes the bike do what you want it to. 45mph is almost too easy and I let off at 60 and it was still pulling. The bike does burnouts and pulls wheelies, and leaves cars at stoplights. Definately worth the wait, hope it holds together. I need to do a plug chop though. I just want to say thank you to everyone that helped me with my questions. -Chris

With the filter I usually have to do the same thing on my Zip. I just dont like the Arreche's autochoke, manual seems to work perfectly all the time.

you got it runnin hot like that, nice, how is it with the Yellow spring? I have a hard time keeping my Malossi cyl from running the torque driver down completely shortly after clutch engaugement (Polini Speed clutch, blue springs, evo bell) with a red spring and 3.5g weights

any thoughts anyone? i would have liked to have it together and semi tuned soon before my girl goes back to Japan. I have a hard time getting over 45mph, im gonna try dropping a size on the main jet (stock carb, ill drop to a 95) and change out the plug to a br8hs. but I dont think that will answer the over revving
