This is a stern reminder that discussions, on political matters are strongly discouraged. I awoke this morning with seven, yes seven PM's from quite irate members about a poll about the next president, as well as the war in Iraq. The upcoming election is heavily charged, and has extremely irritated people on both sides of the line. All such threads WILL be deleted and I have sent out several strong PMs to members already on this issue.

This is a forum to discuss scooters, and the scootering scene. Off topic discussions, propositions of a sexual nature, private or commercial spam, and political discussions are not permitted and may be removed at the administrators or moderators discretion. While we hope that the information provided by the membership and volunteers are accurate, Provoscooter is not liable for any damage that may occur from the installation and/or scootering parts regardless of mechanical experience the user may or may not have.

A good example of why I'm be surefooted on this particular issue is a sixteen year old girl who got caught up on my wife anime board who was trying to break up a political debate was threatened in email of being raped by a pissed off member. I've admin and modded on a lot of boards and have seen quite a few boards obliterated because of a stray political remark that someone took offense too. Today alone I had seven messages in PM and email form about the poll and a couple of comments made in several political based threads.

Before the new boards went up two months ago, while the old board was still going on strong I made a point when creating the new TOS to include restriction of propositions of a sexual nature, private or commercial spam, and political discussions, this was due to several threads now deleted thanks to Erich on the old board that was an all out flame war. Not trying to be a pain in the ass, but I am looking out for health of the board. And two things that will kill a board are politics and offended members.
