upgear kit?

anyone know anything about this and what exactly it does... how much it cuts down on torque loss, and how much of a top speed increase it gives, what other performance parts you should be running with it, etc.... ?

be advised... this is not with the stock set up at all...

I think you'd need much lighter rollers if you were planning a upgear kit on a stock bike....


I added over 5mph with the upgears (see my scootergarage page for a list of my upgrades)... I am guessing about 7mph increase... This is using the stock speedo for a guage... so we know how accurate that could be!

As I left in the review I left... If you don't have access to a press... It is almost impossible to change the gears! I have a auto hobby shop where I live and they pressed the gears in for me for $7.00... I did one in my garage with a hammer, I'd never do that again... Pressing it was easier and less likely to screw something up! I stripped the nut that holds the clutch assembly on!
