Thanks:)

There is a reason for the "footboard".

I am 5'9" and I sit on the back seat of my Zuma all streached out- looking like I am on a chopper. People love to laugh at me as I sing "Head Out On The Highway, Looking For Adventure" as loud as I can....

I have found it most comfortable to ride....
With my butt on the back seat... and tips of my toes on the passenger foot pegs... This allows for you to be in the "crotch rocket lean" I feel it's most comfortable...
Next is front of main seat with feet resting on the reflectors and leaning back...
If you wanted to you could install bike pegs into the sides of the scooters... It'd probably look silly... also remember you'd need to stregthen where ever you have them as the plastic wouldn't last very long...

I saw a motorcycle highway bar that you MIGHT be able to bolt to the floorboad.
It was in the JC Whitney motorcycle catalog

There's no reason to post foot pegs, classic styled scooters were designed so that both the operator and passenger rest thier feet on the floorboard.

I have a Vino 50 and was considering the same thing. Put a Malossi shock and Buddy seat on so my wife and I can ride together, but footspace is limited. Makes it hard to balance when stopped.
I looked at some foot pegs, but couldn't find any that would be a quick fix.
Time to get out the blowtorch!

leave it to my wife to come up with a solution for the impossible.
The biggest complaints my kids have about riding with us is their legs get tired after a while. Their legs are too short to reach the in-floor foot rests on the 125.
So she got a couple of peices of wood from the barn and some bolts and washers from the garage and MADE a pair of swing out foot pegs.
As funny as they look, they work GREAT!

Thats awesome Skrapiron!
Though it wouldn't work on a Vino 50 because there is no flat space at the base of the fender.

She originally designed them for the Vino 50 that we had. There was not as much room to rotate them out of the way, but they worked just fine. There is a flat portion where the floorboard and the side panel come together.

Nah, not gonna fly with the Vino Classic floorboards.
Guess I'll have to figure out something else.

I bet you could screw some into the hole where the foot board meets the side panel..it wouldnt be advisable to put any weight on them though lol

So, back to the original question. Has anyone installed footpegs on their Vino?
Can they be bought, and if so, where?

I bought 2 vino 2 stroke 50s tonight and just got home from the first ride. What a blast. My everyday ride is an FZ-1 but we wanted these for camping. They have footpegs mounted. Kind of cheesey but I am 6'4" and they do work. I am new here and do not yet know how to post a pic. I will work on it tomorrow
