I just installed stage 1 kit. After installing the variator and tightening the nut with a air gun. the fined outer pully wobels a little. I have the two warshers in. 1 stock and 1 new from kit. they are in the rite spot

is this normal or should it be tight?

NEVER I MEAN NEVER install a variator with just a impac i used to do it to then i stripped my crank!, best thing to do is make sure it lines up and tighten it with your fingers and then impac it

Easy kids...

Zuma88 was just making sure it was clarified a little better is all- trying to help someone such as myself not strip the crank. If someone would have clarified it for him maybe he would not have had to learn the hard way by stripping his crank.

It is all good Jody-

I look at things "literal"- as in what you say is what you mean. It is good to have someone spell things out for us "less than mechnical" is all.

I already PM'd jody... but for everyone else who has the variators changed and stuff...

the finned pulley shouldn't wobble....

Here is how I have mine on... Variator (rollers and all pieces), Then the round shaft that the variator spins on, then the belt, then the finned pulley... NExt goes a washer, then the kick start gear, the large washer and the nut...

This set up will keep the pulleys from wobbling... Also make sure to place a small washer before the kick start gear or you'll mess up the teeth on the shaft.... making it next to impossible to get the variator on and off... :D
