Ok gas is $3.50 a gallon here and there is NO relief in sight. The wife's commute is one that can be done without freeways, in about 20 minutes.

So, we are getting a 2nd Zuma.

Take a look at this, It' an '05, with a whopping 124 miles on the speedo, and just to be sure I pulled the cover off and looked at the belt dust... there was NONE. Its new for sure.

I thought $1300 was a worthy deal so I bought it for the wife. Now we are a 2 Zuma family!

Thats a great deal...I may have to get another one just for the gas savings. I'm thinking the scooter market is about to explode......again.

You guys should go to police auctions or if you know someone with a dealers license you can get in with them. I picked up four Zuma's (two '04's and two 05's) and they all ran fine. I didn't pay above $325 for any of them (mine was $280 after auction paper work and it already had a ZX pipe on it) and NO THEY ARE NOT STOLEN. You just gotta peak at a few things when the scoot comes up for bids (important thing is to check and make sure there is two stroke oil in the oil tank. If not, it may be a stolen recovery and the theives didn't bother adding oil and just drove it around till it locked up). I may not have a warranty, but all of them run great and who keeps them stock anyways?

For an auction license here, you need a 25k cash bond. And you can't draw on it to make auction purchases, the equity must remain. Gonna have to collect ALOT of aluminum cans!!!

Big Blue,

Yes you are right... mine is the '05, hers is the '04.

Mrs. Scooter Jim (Julie) went out for a ride yesterday and came home smiling.

Life is good!

I hear you on that one zuma-zuma, that would be a good bit of aluminum scraped together. If you know someone that does have one that will let you ride on their coat tails then you do have to worry about a surety bond. Used car lot owners are the most agreeable with this (they get to put a little money in their pockets, you gotta give em somthing).

i think the whole scooter craze is starting to spread all over north america.

in toronto, the gas prices are also getting high, but scooters and motorcycles park for free at any parking meter for as long as they like! anyone who lives in toronto can understand how much this kicks @$$, especially with the annual increase of meter maids in the city.
